Anthurium jenmanii 'Gold' is a cultivar of Anthurium jenmanii Engl. its most striking feature is the foliage colour -bright yellow to light lime-green leaves which first emerge dark red to burgundy. It is a 'bird's nest' Anthurium with rosette growth pattern and very stiff, thick foliage, hence the common name: 'the cardboard plant'.
The genus name Anthurium is derived from Greek ánthos "flower" + ourá "tail" + New Latin -ium -ium . A very literal translation of this would be 'flowering tail'.
