Aglaonema 'Milky Way' is a cultivar of; Aglaonema commutatum Schott. It has dark green foliage with splashes and specks of pale green and a silver. Like most Aglaonema cultivars, it is an easy-care houseplant that can live comfortably in any amount of indirect light.

Genus name comes form the Greek words aglaos meaning bright or clear and nema meaning a thread in reference to the stamens.
