Caladium 'Red Flash' has oversized heart-shaped leaves with deep red centres, dark green margins and pink spotting. In active indoor growth, the clump can reach around 60–75 cm, so the mature foliage may spread outward around the pot. Bright filtered light, warmth and an airy substrate allow the broad blades to expand without leaving the tuber in heavy moisture. Reduce watering as the plant enters seasonal rest; the foliage contains calcium oxalate and is toxic if chewed.
