Fittonia albivenis 'Forest Flame' Fittonia albivenis 'Forest Flame' is a compact nerve plant with dark green leaves lit by red to pink vein patterns. The contrast is clearest on fresh growth, where the fine coloured network gives the plant its flame-like pattern while the leaves stay small and close to the stems. It grows as a low, spreading houseplant for terrariums, humid glass setups and small pots. The dense surface shows its colour best at close range, especially in mixed foliage plantings with warm, even moisture. Fittonia is non-toxic to cats and dogs; chewing any plant can still cause stomach upset.
